Default All Monk Group? What To Do?

I've been PvPing today, with a well balanced (random) group. We had a target caller and a primary Monk healer and all was well, we'd own and more often than not go with a flawless victory.

Until... well, untill we ran into a group that was entirely made of 2nd proffession monks, which made me wonder, what do you do in a case like that? We held up for a good 5(?) minutes before getting mowed down, but there just wasn't any way we could overcome that. I can see how a group that has 4 elementalists could take care of 4 monks, but realistically, monks are much more common as a secondary, and much more overpowering too.

Does anyone have any ideas how to deal with such thing in a random group? Are there any options at all?

well i for one, i love my ranger. i have some preety skills that help take almost anything down, like debilitating shot which drains 10 of enemys energy with each hit (no energy, no casting), then i have savage shot that interrupts what he's casting. there's nothing nicer than to see a war/monk trying to resurect a fellow teammate and geting interupted just when he was almost done

even tho im not that resistant on the battlefield, with some good teammates im a nice addition to them.

interupting skills and skills that cause damage when spells are cast, along with a little AOE and energy damage, you should hold off alot longer.

Spells that make them lose energy, or even better, convert their energy into your health/energy will go a long way to defeating just such a group. There are also skills that can be used to silence them - such as the ranger skill that makes the next spell that opponent casts the last time they'll cast it for 20 seconds.

As a Mesmer/Ranger, I find that as long as I'm not the first to be targeted my groups usually win. I'm able to fully disable opponent monks and casters, allowing my team to go in for the kill.
